Little Shirts
COLLECTION FROM 2009
A young girls summer range made entirely out of men's dress shirts.
This collection presents an easy method of creating kids clothes out of unwanted garments. When the garment is bought the pattern to make the garment is on the tag. This is to encourage mums to get back into mending and sewing their childrens clothes rather than buying more and more.
With the aim to slow down fashion consumption, each piece is designed to grow with the child through the use of buttons and drawstrings. Some of these garments are able to fit toddlers to teenagers. No extra elastic, fastenings or fusings are added to the garments and all scraps are used where possible.
Little shirts é una collezione estiva per bambine creata ri-utilizzando interamente camicie da uomo.
Questo progetto presenta un metodo semplice e facilmente realizzabile per produrre indumenti per fanciulle tramite l'utilizzo di abiti non più indossati nell'ordine di incoraggiare le mamme a ritornare al rammendo creando gli abiti dei propri figli invece di comprarne sempre di nuovi.
Nel tentativo di rallentare i consumi ogni pezzo è pensato e realizzato in modo da "crescere" assieme ai nostri piccoli attraverso l'uso di lacci e bottoni, con alcuni capi in grado di vestire i più piccoli fino all'età dell'adolescenza. Nessun elastico supplementare o elemento di fissaggio è aggiunto all'indumento per creare questo "effetto crescita" con lo sviluppo dei piccoli ed ogni scarto è utilizzato quando possibile.
